Video Transcript - Manage your Applicant’s Authorised Representatives

Screen 1: Title screen
Welcome to the video help series for the Energy Rating Product Registration System.

In this video, we are going to show you how to complete the Models and Manufacturer page of your application.

Screen 2: Models and Manufacturer – Overall page
The Models and Manufacturer page asks for information relating to the models of the product being registered, manufacturing details and information on when and where the product will be sold.

It is divided into three sections: Product Model Information, Manufacturing Information and Sale Information.

Let’s go through these now.

Screen 3: Models and Manufacturer – Product Model Information section – Single model
The first section, Product Model Information, asks us to provide details of the model, or models, covered by this registration.

This section will appear differently depending on if you’re registering a single model or a family of models.

In this example, we are registering a single model, but we’ll come to family of models in a moment.

In the Model Number field, we enter the model number of our product.

This must be a unique model number and must correspond with any test reports provided with the application.

In the Brand field, we select the brand of the product from the drop-down menu.

Screen 4: Models and Manufacturer – Product Model Information section – Family of models

Let’s now take a look at what the Product Model Information section looks like for a family of models registration.

For the first question, we enter the family name for the models covered by this application.

In the table below, we enter the model number and select the brand for each model included in this application.

Screen 5: Models and Manufacturer – Manufacturing Information
In the second section, Manufacturing Information, we need to provide details about the product’s manufacture.

For the first question, we select the name of the product’s manufacturer from the dropdown menu provided.

If there is a second manufacturer, we select the name of the second manufacturer from the dropdown menu provided.

If there is a third manufacturer, we select the name of the third manufacturer from the dropdown menu provided.

For the next question, we select the country or countries this product was manufactured in from the dropdown menu.

If the product was manufactured in more than one country, we select the ‘Add another’ link to add another dropdown menu and then select the next country.

For the final question of this section, we select an option to indicate how the date of manufacture can be determined from the permanent markings included on the appliance.

This information will assist our Compliance Team when undertaking check testing of products.

If we select one of the first three options, we need to provide additional information in the text box provided.

Screen 6: Models and Manufacturer – Sale Information
In the third section, Sale Information, we provide details about the sale of the product.

For the first question, we select which country or countries this product will be sold in by ticking a box next to each country.

For the next question, we select a date to indicate when this product was, or will be, made available for purchase, using the calendar that automatically appears when we click onto the text box.

Once we’ve entered our information, we select the “Save” button to save our changes and check for any errors.

If there are errors, a red message will appear at the top of the page.

The questions with the errors will be highlighted in red and we’ll need to fix these before we can continue.

If no errors are detected, a green message will appear at the top of the screen confirming that the registration has been saved.

We then select “Save and Continue” to move on to the next page of the application form.

And that’s how you complete the Models and Manufacturer page of the application form.
