Screen 1: Title screen
Welcome to the video help series for the Energy Rating Product Registration System.

In this video, we are going to take you through the different prompts that you will see throughout the registration system when you are completing an application.

Screen 2: Different kinds of prompts
There are three kinds of prompts in the system: Error, Warning and Message.

They are colour-coded using the traffic light system format to indicate their level of severity.

Let’s take a look at each prompt now.

Screen 3: Error prompt
This red error prompt appears when the mandatory fields in the system are not completed. This might be because we have missed a field or we have not fully completed a field.

We cannot save our information and move on to the next page of the application, or submit the application, until we have completed the fields.

Screen 4: Warning prompt
This yellow warning prompt appears when we have entered information into the application that does not comply with the MEPS requirements for that product. The warning appears after we select the “Save” button for that page, when the system will conduct automatic checks against the minimum energy performance standards. We then need to double check the information we have entered against our test report and fix the information, if possible.

If the information we provide is correct according to the test report, and the warnings still appear, it means we are not able to register our product, as the system will not allow applications to be submitted that it determines do not meet the MEPS requirements.

Screen 5: Message prompt
This green message prompt appears if the information we have entered is outside of an expected number range coded into the system, and may not be correct.

We can still submit our application, but it may not be approved if this issue is not addressed.

Screen 6: Summary screen
The final page of the application will show us a summary of each page and any errors, warnings or messages that we need to action before we submit our application.

And that’s a quick overview of the different prompts you will see in the registration system when you’re completing your applications.
